about us
Established in November 2016, Lodgis is a hotel investment platform formed through a joint venture between Warburg Pincus and Vinacapital.
Based on their successful track records in creating scalable businesses, the shareholders' plan is to build a lodging enterprise of multiple brands. With its headquarters in Singapore, Lodgis investment focus will be on Southeast Asia, taking advantage of its seed property assets and existing operating business in Vietnam.
Over time or as opportunistic situations arise, the vehicle will broaden its geographic focus. Lodgis will create value by deploying capital in both development projects and operating assets, ideally through the acquisition of existing platforms, brands, and portfolios.
strategy & assets
Lodgis has acquired several initial seed assets, comprising both 3rd-party managed properties as well as interests under Fusion Hotels and Resorts (Fusion), a Lodgis-owned operating company.
In addition to expanding Fusion through Lodgis' investment, we are actively exploring the acquisition of operating platforms and emerging hotel brands in Southeast Asia and opportunistically across the region. Working with our investment partners, Lodgis' objective is to create a portfolio of complimentary brands, collectively offering scale and scope economies with the opportunity to deploy value-add capital into the underlying real estate.
Fusion is a Vietnam-based hotel development and operating company with growing presence in the country. This brand is now expanding its footprint through an active build program in Vietnam's major cities and resort destinations. With an established foothold in Vietnam, Fusion's plan will be to ultimately expand regionally.
fusion
Since its launch in 2008 as a true home-grown brand, Fusion has been an innovator of wellness-inspired resorts and hotels, and is among the few fully vertically integrated hospitality groups in Southeast Asia.
Fusion conceptualizes, designs, builds and manages resorts and city hotels through its branded hospitality concepts. We have six operating properties and three under development in Vietnam, with a team of more than 1,500 employees.
In late 2016, Fusion was acquired by Lodgis, a joint venture hotel investment company formed by Warburg Pincus and Vina Capital. Lodgis is making a substantial investment in Fusion to drive growth and expansion of the overall platform and management company.
